2025 HOA BOARD CANDIDATES

There were two nominations for the two open seats on the HOA Board. Please, click on their names to see their statements. The candidates are, in no particular order:

Voting will be open on January 5, 2025 and close at 7:30 pm on January 22, 2025, during the Annual Meeting. Note that the voting is electronic only via Election Buddy, so watch out for the email.

The annual lot owner's meeting will be held at A View at West Shores on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.  We will have a social hour, with a cash bar, from 6-7pm, and the meeting will run from 7-9 pm. The board will endeavor to make an audio and video feed  available by Zoom.  The link will be provided at a later time.

PROPOSITION 1: Amend covenants to restrict property rentals - PASSED

Your HOA Board would like to inform you that the voting for PROPOSITION 1: Amend covenants to restrict property rentals has been concluded on December 1, 2024 at 7:30 pm. The results can be viewed at the ElectionBuddy Web site using the following link:

Every January, the owners of the 291 residential lots comprising the West Shores Home Owners Association meet for an annual report of the board and to learn the result of the board elections.

The annual lot owner's meeting will be held at A View at West Shores will be preceded by a social hour, with a cash bar, beginning at 6:00 pm, with the annual lot owners meeting starting at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. The board will endeavor to make an audio and video feed available by zoom.

  • 10/19/2023: HOA BOARD OF DIRECTOR NOMINATIONS

Nominate yourself by Thu, Dec 28, 2023 at 7:30 PM for one of the two open seats on the HOA board of directors that will be up for election by submitting a candidate statement of interest to hoaboard@westshoreslake.com describing your background, skills and interest in serving our community.  Include a photo.  Submissions will be consolidated and disseminated to lot owners the day after nominations close.   Voting will open on January 2, 2024 and close at 7:30 pm on January 11, 2023, during the Annual Meeting.

 If you wish to see what sort of statements are typically submitted, you can see an example from prior elections here. The candidate statements of the 2024 nominees will be consolidated and emailed out to all residents and posted on the website shortly after the nomination deadline, and will include a photo if supplied by the nominee. Nominations can be accepted anytime beginning today, so please don't wait until the last minute to submit a nomination.

  • 8/23/2023: Golf Car/ATV/UTV proposition vote update

The West Shores Golf Car / ATV / UTV covenant amendment has PASSED. by 223 yes (which is 77% of the 291 lots) and 52 no (which is 18% of the 291 lots) votes. The votes in favor thus exceed the 75% required and the measure passed. The detailed voting results are here: https://secure.electionbuddy.com/results/3DN7V6FN27ZF.

The HOA board urges lot owners to vote at their earliest convenience, so that we can bring the balloting process to conclusion, one way or the other, as soon as possible.  To date 145/291 (50%) of lot owners have cast a vote..
